Slink Visage Update

A somewhat different post today. It’s been so long since I’ve done a regular review without my usual artsy fartsy stuff, kinda refreshing!

A couple of days ago, Slink released a huge update. My beloved Visage has had some welcome changes…the most exciting of which is the addition of makeup layers. Now you can add brows, hairbases, freckles/blusher, eyeshadow and lipstick! Also 3rd party scripts now allow creators to access specular and normal maps for head layers which means, glitter looks like glitter, and scars will look like scars! Meaning the bumpiness will be visible, and won’t look flat or painted on. So time to start bugging your favourite skin/makeup creators!

Makeup layers revolutionised the skin market and made it possible for residents who had never created before to dabble and play. I feel this Visage update will do the same for mesh heads. For those of you who were reticent to try Visage as you were attached to your faces, this will offer much more flexibility and control over your look as you aren’t tied down to just a base skin anymore.

For this post, I’m showcasing lipstick appliers by Adam n Eve. I also had eyeshadows to show, but unfortunately I’m suffering from a bug I tried to fix with Slink Resident last night, where my lashes are boinked! It’s a bug I’m sure only affects me as Sasy and Whimsy don’t seem to have the same issue.

The hud has also been updated to reflect the changes, I’m keeping it attached permanently so I can change my look at will!
