Infinity On High

Infinity On High

Yesterday, I was feeling blah and of course the ladies were on hand to help me banish the Sunday blues. Several shopping stops ended in cheerleading at Gizza. Special thanks to the Gizza crew for letting us be tards in the middle of their store lol.

Sasy papped me in Ison, our first stop on the trip. It made me reminisce about our first shots together, how much not only we’ve changed but how much the stuff we love to wear has changed. A certain 2009 video of all of us shows just how incredibly far content creation has come in SL. I challenged Sasy to find a pic of us from 2007, so I can bury it in a vault somewhere haha.

The title is an homage to my dearly beloved wifey Justice who is currently taking on the RL world and winning.

How To Marry A Millionaire…Sasy & Whimsy Style

How To Marry A Millionaire

It’s hard to talk about my ladies without seeming like a complete fangirl. I am totally and unashamedly their biggest fan though! Everyday, we stand around on our platform…my corner is littered with garish backdrops, Sasy and Whimsy’s section is full of randomly rezzed out body parts and dead noobs. To the outsider we’re clutter bugs making a big mess. However there’s alway a lot more going on than meets the eye.

We’re in Skype chatting away while one or all of us is making something incredible. Me not so much as I’m a lazybum. But the ladies never fail to amaze me with their talent. This new release is no exception, and I got to see it through from conception to release all while dancing around in various states of dress/undress.

The theme for My Attic this round is How To Marry A Millionaire. It starts on November 21st and runs through November 30th. Sasy & Whimsy have made this incredible photo scene for all your photo taking pleasure. Here’s the full details:

Glam Steps features 7 unique poses, 100% mesh, and 11 land impact, and 7 interchangeable colors.

–The front walls, stairs, curtains, and stair walls each feature 7 different colors, allowing many variations. To access them, simply click that component (stairs, curtains, etc) for the menu.

–To use the poses, simply right click, and sit on the Glam Steps, a menu will appear for you to choose your pose. Also in the menu is the adjust feature which will allow you to adjust to your avatars height, rotation, and position. You can move your avatar anywhere you like within the Glam Steps scene, and for which ever pose you like.

–If you would like to use the poses separately, you can unpack the Glam Steps, and put the poses in your pose stand.

Unfortunately the Fashion Roadkill pose didn’t make the cut, never fear though, I’m on the case! Couture Crisis, Drunk Diva…all solid ideas for a future release. You’re welcome.

Leezu @ Ch1c

Not too many words today, it’s 5am, this post has been sitting in drafts for the best part of a week, and the pics have been languishing in private on my flickr. Bad Ash is bad.

I’m not generally a gown type of girl, although when I first joined SL, there always seemed to be a party to get dressed up for…not so much now. However, this spectacular dress by Leezu for the Ch1c event begged me to buy it.

It also gave me a chance to break out some of my incredible Mandala jewelery. A huge portion of my Mandala folder came to me via Sasy as a christmas present in ’09. We oohed and ahhhed over that store, the vendor ads alone had me deadset drooling. I’m wearing the Lotus set, and they suit the dress so perfectly. Ok, no more talky now, gotta grab an hour’s sleep before minime wakes up!

The Spider And The Fly

ch1c_032

Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly,
‘Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I’ve a many curious things to show when you are there.”
Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

“I’m sure you must be weary, dear, with soaring up so high;
Will you rest upon my little bed?” said the Spider to the Fly.
“There are pretty curtains drawn around; the sheets are fine and thin,
And if you like to rest awhile, I’ll snugly tuck you in!”
Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “for I’ve often heard it said,
They never, never wake again, who sleep upon your bed!”

Said the cunning Spider to the Fly, ” Dear friend what can I do,
To prove the warm affection I ‘ve always felt for you?
I have within my pantry, good store of all that’s nice;
I’m sure you’re very welcome — will you please to take a slice?”
“Oh no, no,” said the little Fly, “kind Sir, that cannot be,
I’ve heard what’s in your pantry, and I do not wish to see!”

“Sweet creature!” said the Spider, “you’re witty and you’re wise,
How handsome are your gauzy wings, how brilliant are your eyes!
I’ve a little looking-glass upon my parlour shelf,
If you’ll step in one moment, dear, you shall behold yourself.”
“I thank you, gentle sir,” she said, “for what you ‘re pleased to say,
And bidding you good morning now, I’ll call another day.”

The Spider turned him round about, and went into his den,
For well he knew the silly Fly would soon come back again:
So he wove a subtle web, in a little corner sly,
And set his table ready, to dine upon the Fly.
Then he came out to his door again, and merrily did sing,
“Come hither, hither, pretty Fly, with the pearl and silver wing;
Your robes are green and purple — there’s a crest upon your head;
Your eyes are like the diamond bright, but mine are dull as lead!”

Alas, alas! how very soon this silly little Fly,
Hearing his wily, flattering words, came slowly flitting by;
With buzzing wings she hung aloft, then near and nearer drew,
Thinking only of her brilliant eyes, and green and purple hue —
Thinking only of her crested head — poor foolish thing! At last,
Up jumped the cunning Spider, and fiercely held her fast.
He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den,
Within his little parlour — but she ne’er came out again!

And now dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne’er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly.

The Stringer Mausoleum @ Hair Fair 2010

.

SL is an amazing place, yes it frustrates us when the grid is broken, but without the grid, borked or working, we would lose this incredible medium of communication with each other. My luck in this virtual world is to be surrounded by some of the most creative, talented women on the grid. One such woman is Helena Stringer. If you look up the word scrappy in the SL dictionary, it has a picture of her demon self, no doubt petrifying a mere mortal :P This year, she has beaten the RL odds, and now..thank goodness has come back to us with an array of goodies to make us drool.

The Stringer Mausoleum @ Hair Fair 2010

Shown above is the fair exclusive hair Pearl Persuasion. Yup…I totally have a whole heap of pearls on my head…and don’t they look divine! You could soo do the modern Marie Antoinette, or take it in a completely different direction as I chose to.

The Stringer Mausoleum @ Hair Fair 2010

I have robots!!!! Teeny robots decorating my head…thanks to RoboBambie. The textures are absolutely amazing, I chose the pastel rainbows pack.

The Stringer Mausoleum @ Hair Fair 2010

Heres more of the same…sans robots. And to bring it full circle, that it’s not just about the hair….we hit the million linden mark sometime yesterday. I’m so proud of all the designers who gave their time this year, and my fellow committee members, you all rock! Ash Out.
